DenturesChandler, AZAt Canyon State Dental, we know how important it is to walk around with a full, healthy, natural-looking smile. Because we are a general and cosmetic dental care practice, our restorative dentistry services include partial or full dentures. As a more economical, long-term solution to replacing one or more missing teeth, custom-made dentures can be comfortably used to fill in the gaps- giving you a full set of working teeth.
Types of Dentures We OfferAt our Canyon State Dental office we offer the following denture types:
Complete DenturesWhen you lose several consecutive teeth due to periodontal disease or an injury, full, or “complete”, dentures can be used to replace all of your teeth along one or both jaws. Unlike years ago, complete dentures are now available in different styles, materials, and price points- allowing us to treat each patient based on their individual needs.
Partial DenturesAs the name implies, partial dentures serve to fill in a gap when only one or two natural teeth are missing. With today’s innovative denture-creating technologies, partial dentures can now be custom-designed and uniquely colored so they will blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.
Are There Alternatives to Dentures?Although dentures are a reliable tooth replacement option they can cause speaking and chewing discomfort and do take daily care and special dietary considerations. When a patient is looking for a more durable, long-term treatment alternative to full or partial dentures, we recommend dental implants.
As a premier tooth-replacement option, dental implants are indicated when teeth are missing or broken down due to gum disease, tooth decay, or trauma. With proper planning, placement, and postoperative care, dental implants look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. As opposed to dentures, dental implants function as a single unit while providing the added benefit of preserving bone in the area they are placed in. And unlike dentures or a bridge, an implant also reduces the chance for future bone loss. Once your implants are securely anchored in place, you’ll be able to speak and eat with comfort and confidence once again without any special cleaning requirements or having to avoid some of your favorite foods.
For patients with missing teeth that also have a limited amount of jaw bone left- or who are on a limited budget- we also offer All-on-4 dental implant procedures.
